Alexander Puliaev

Alexander Puliaev was born in St. Petersburg. He began his musical studies in piano there and continued his studies in Moscow. He received a degree in music education and performance and became a member of the Moscow ensemble "Barocco".

Since 1990 he has been a member of the Moscow chamber Academy under T. Grindenko. From 1992 to 1995 he studied harpsichord with A. Uittenbosch and clavichord with S. Hoogland in Amsterdam.

In 1993 he was award third prize at the International Music Competition in Warsaw, since 1997 he has taught harpsichord and chamber music at the Wuppertal division of the Cologne conservatory of music.
